Um, Trump Quoted Bane From The Dark Knight Rises During the Inauguration

President Donald Trump (yes, it's official) appeared before the country during his inauguration ceremony on Friday, and either his speech writers are giggling among themselves or someone is in trouble. During his address to the nation, Trump used the phrase "and giving it back to you, the people." Though it's not an exact match, it bears a striking resemblance to a portion of Bane's speech from The Dark Knight Rises, in which he says, "and we give it back to you, the people." Honestly, it's really the way that both say it that's so eerie. Deadspin editor Timothy Burke was the first to call out the coincidence, tweeting out a quick video comparing the two moments.
