In the past week, Amal Clooney has shown us her funky take on the '70s: chevron printed flares that she paired with a furry crop top. She showed us her elegant side, too, opting for a Spring '15 Giambattista Valli LBD on date night with George Clooney. But she just stepped out in New York in perfectly paired colorblock separates that felt business fresh and — much to our appreciation — a bit Mad Men inspired.

Amal's silk Gucci top, complete with a python collar, worked as the focal point of her look, and she smartly chose neutral outfit accoutrements: a belted and high-waisted skirt, textured pumps, oversize sunglasses with translucent lenses, and a trusty black Balenciaga Le Dix satchel.
