Moms tend to dish out their fair share of fashion advice: wear a scarf, bring some flats, tuck in your shirt, etc. But admittedly, we never gave it much thought — that's just what moms do! — until Ashley Olsen proved to be taking these tips to heart. The star was spotted stepping out in NYC wearing a look that can best be described as "Mom chic." Between the white collared top, a pair of khakis, black slides, and — oh yes — a patterned scarf, we could easily picture her dropping us off at soccer practice and handing us our snack.

But that's not to say we don't love what's going on here. Maybe a move toward polished and somewhat uniform is exactly what we need this Spring, and Ashley does add a little spice by letting her bra peek out.
