The 1 Thing a Victoria's Secret Angel Would Never Do on Valentine's Day

You don't have to be a Victoria's Secret Angel to feel sexy on Valentine's Day. The key — straight from the mouths of Angels Candice Swanepoel and Lily Aldridge — is about feeling comfortable and confident, no matter what you wear. And let's face it: by now these two have mastered the art of rocking next to nothing with killer confidence, so we're taking their advice very seriously.

Since the rest of us may not have quite as much experience stripping down to our skivvies, we wanted to get the scoop from the pros, and — lucky us — they were happy to oblige. From their lingerie of choice to the things they'll never do on Valentine's Day, the duo kindly let us in on their sexiest secrets, and we were surprised to find out their Valentine's Day plans actually sound a lot like ours: simple, quiet and romantic. POPSUGAR: What is something unexpected or surprising that your significant other finds sexy about you?

Lily Aldridge: My dance moves. They're very goofy.

Candice Swanepoel: I'm a little silly and almost childish. There's a part of me that's still the 15-year-old girl that left my country, and he finds those kinds of things cute. In one way we have such a crazy, responsible life, but I still enjoy being a little kid.

PS: Finish this sentence: On Valentine's Day, I would never . . .

CS: I would never go to a fancy restaurant, and I would never go to a sporting event.

LA: Wear red lipstick. Because then if you kiss, it gets messed up.

PS: What's the best way to get ready if you are planning on rocking lingerie?

LA: It’s all about finding the lingerie that you feel sexy and comfortable in. Whether it is cotton or strappy, you really won't feel comfortable unless you are confident. It is all about trying things that make you feel like your inner goddess is shining.

CS: No one should be nervous, because whatever you're in, the guy is going to really love it, and it's such a romantic holiday. And for you to enjoy each other, I think.

PS: Is there anything you'd do to prep your skin to get ready?

CS: You can never go wrong with bronzer; everyone looks better with a little bit of a glow. If you've been in Winter, definitely get some body bronzing going on. I also moisturize constantly. It keeps your skin in good condition.

PS: What's your ideal Valentine's Day outfit?

LA: I'd just put on jeans and a t-shirt. I think that's the sexiest thing to do, to be kind of casual and then have really gorgeous lingerie on underneath.

CS: Something feminine and sexy. Everyone wants to feel sexy on Valentine's Day.

PS: And what about what to wear underneath?

CS: It's hard for me to dress up [in lingerie], so I would always think of coming back from work or wearing it to dinner. That way it's already on. . . . That's more my style.

LA: I think you have to pick what's right for you. Everyone is different; some people like cotton, some like supersexy. I like it a little bit sexier for Valentine's Day.

PS: What's the best gift for guys?

CS: I'm the Valentine's gift! Guys are so hard. I don't know. Gadgets, perfume . . .

LA: I do think if you want to buy sexy underwear, that's kind of a nice present for him. You feel nice, you feel sexy — that will make him stoked.

PS: What about for you? What's would you gift yourself for Valentine's Day?

CS: A really beautiful bottle of wine or loads of flowers. I like having lots of flowers in my house.

LA: Flowers. I love peonies, and they get more beautiful as the day goes.
