It's About Time Cara Delevingne Scored a Solo Vogue Cover

We're not the only ones who have been waiting on the day Cara Delevingne covers newsstands everywhere — on Vogue, of course. While the supermodel and actress has made an appearance on the magazine alongside a few of her BFFs, now is the time for her to steal the spotlight.

To no surprise, Cara dressed the part. Bouncing a basketball in a sequined Giambattista Valli sweater, showing off her pose prowess in a slinky Tom Ford design, and staring down the camera in Rodarte, Cara proves she's officially mastered this whole modeling thing she's so well-known for — and that's why she's moving on.

Cara reveals her true career focus to Vogue; the article says, "modeling was an amuse-bouche, an hors d'oeuvre, never the main dish. Acting is and always was the thing: 'The thrill of acting is making a character real. Modeling is the opposite of real. It's being fake in front of the camera.'"

While we're excited to see what lies ahead, right now, we're celebrating Cara's latest achievement. Read on to watch Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, Kendall Jenner, and plenty more famous faces cheer her on, then check out a few shots from the Vogue shoot, captured by Patrick Demarchelier and available in print on June 23.
