Online retailer Eloquii gave four of our favorite plus-size bloggers a tulle midi skirt and let them go to town embellishing and reworking the design. Nicolette Mason, Rochelle Johnson, Margie Ashcroft, and Nora Lovotti certainly didn't disappoint.

Each of the lovely ladies chose her own colorway and added ruffles, sequins, or stones — Margie even gave hers a quick crop. Next, they completed their Carrie Bradshaw-approved skirts with unexpected separates like leather jackets and striped tees, bringing fierce edge to otherwise princess-y looks.

Read on to see how all four women took on the challenge, and check out the video where they recount the styling process and shed light on what it means to be a curvy blogger in the fashion industry.

"I just had to go to the craft store, see what they had, and see what I was drawn to. I found these jewel-tone stones that I fell in love with. There weren't junior plus sizes when I was in middle school or high school, so it was always a struggle trying to identify myself through fashion. I think the skirt is a lot like my personality — it's colorful, it's pretty, it's whimsical. Every little girl has had a tulle skirt, but now it's grown up. It's like a staple in your closet. There are so many ways to dress it up and wear it out."

"I wanted to create a day version of my wedding dress, which was this gorgeous paillette-sequined and rhinestone-covered gown, and it was all hand sewn. So each of these crystals — and there are about 350 of them — was sewn on by hand. Once it was done, I was so excited."

"I'm a little daring. I like to have some fun — I like a little bling, love a little sparkle. As a plus-size girl in fashion, you have to be crafty. So I'd go to a thrift store and say that I wanted a mini tulle skirt. They didn't really have that in my size. I'd go and I'd buy two and I'd sew two together . . . It's fun, funky, flirty, and it gives me that Carrie Bradshaw moment."

"At Eloquii we believe that all women should be able to participate in fashion, and that's why I was so excited and honored to be wearing a custom-made tulle skirt by [Eloquii's] own creative team."
