Sophie Hunter's Valentino Wedding Dress Was Inspired by Unicorns

When we got our first glimpse of Sophie Hunter's wedding dress, we knew it was something special — it was inspired by Anna Karenina and unicorns, after all. The actress and director tied the knot with Oscar nominee Benedict Cumberbatch over Valentine's Day weekend this year, but the dress was worth the wait when we finally saw it in the pages of Vogue.

Sophie enlisted Valentino designers Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri, who were able to complete the dress in an impossibly short period of three months. The stunning gown featured a high neck and long sleeves along with a medieval-inspired high waist that subtly showed off Sophie's pregnancy while adding regal elegance. Although we still haven't seen photos of Sophie wearing the custom piece during the wedding ceremony, the gracefulness she exuded during the fitting leaves us confident that Sophie made a beautiful bride.
