Emma Watson's Perfect White Shirt Is as Chic as It Is Ethical

Emma Watson may have recently announced that she's taking a year off from acting — but she's not taking any time off from being impeccably stylish. To attend a special conversation with feminist icon Gloria Steinem in London on Wednesday evening, Emma went with that most classic of outfits: the white top and black pants combo.

Thanks to Emma's stylist, Rebecca Corbin-Murray, we have some special details about the pieces Emma wore. Her top was from the brand Ellery, and as Rebecca wrote on Instagram, "Ellery are compliant with all ethical and sustainable standards and practices — their fabrications are lovingly sourced and garments are produced in Australia to ensure fair work treatment."

Likewise, Emma's pants are from the socially-responsible label Edun, who according to Rebecca are "building long-term sustainable growth opportunities by supporting manufacturers, community based initiatives and partnering with African artists and artisans." Even Emma's Rupert Sanderson heels were made in an Italian factory without harmful chemicals. Jewels from Soko and KRYSOS + CHANDI rounded out the look.

We're completely impressed by Emma's dedication to the causes about which she's so passionate. It's still quite rare for people in the public eye to make a sustained commmitment to promoting socially and environmentally produced clothes. Well done to Emma for leading the charge.
