Hunter McGrady has broken the mold for many curve models ever since landing the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue a few years back. Now, she's fresh off of her new collab with QVC, called All Worthy, and I spoke to the model about what it was like being on the side other of things, creating the clothes. After hosting a fashion panel with the model and being inspired by what she had to say about the industry, I reached out to learn more about why she decided to create a line now. I spoke with the 27-year-old model, who is expecting her first child with husband Brian Keys, about the process of creating the collection designed specifically with curve women in mind, what the fashion industry needs to change, and what she hopes to accomplish.

"We are always the last to be thought about and the first to be cut from brands. We exist, we are real people wanting wonderful things, and I think it's time we start demanding it."

When asked about what needs to change within the fashion industry, Hunter told POPSUGAR,"I hope that we continue to see more designers really championing inclusivity. Inclusivity means including everyone, so expanding their sizes past an XL (that is not inclusive sizing) and also showcasing more diverse models. I would love to be able to walk into any store in New York City and find an item that fits me, something that is not available to me right now."

Keeping reading to see more of my interview with Hunter ahead.

"I wanted to make sure that everything felt very streamlined, even the 'basics.' For me, this collection is about keeping your closet fresh, and having your staple pieces while still having fun. Fashion is such a form of self-expression and I wanted that to be the case in this line as well, even when it comes to our sweatpants or hoodies."

What Hunter Wishes People Knew About the Curve Industry

"I wish people knew that there is so much that goes into [the curve industry] that is not talked about in the media. We are always the last to be thought about and the first to be cut from brands. We exist, we are real people wanting wonderful things, and I think it's time we start demanding it."

The Best Piece of Advice Hunter's Ever Gotten

"The best fashion advice I ever received was from my sister. It was to not listen to what everyone else is doing or wearing and to do what makes you happy. She was and still is always ahead of the curve with fashion and ever since we were younger I really looked up to her for advice and inspiration! She was wearing bucket hats and moon boots long before they were popular. She'd always say 'just watch, it'll catch on' and it did! She has always been fearless with [fashion]."
