Every Outfit Kate Middleton Has Ever Worn to Wimbledon
As Kate Middleton makes her first appearance at Wimbledon as patron — she took over from the Queen earlier this year — we take a look at all the times she has graced the famous tennis tournament with her presence. She has attended with gal pals, sister Pippa, and husband William, but from single girl-about-town to a princess bride and mom of two, how has her courtside style evolved in the past nine years?
2007
The first time Kate Middleton was snapped at Wimbledon, she was focusing on a Summer of fun - she and William had just been through their breakup and were tentatively back in touch. For her visit in June she chose a navy and white patterned blouse, navy jacket, a favorite white denim skirt and ballet pumps.
2008
A year later, and back in a serious relationship with Prince William, Kate attended the tournament with one of her best friends, Sophie Carter. On this occasion, she sported a white Issa dress, black cardigan, and tousled hair.
2010
She was to get engaged just three months later, but still did not attend with her longtime love, William, appearing instead alongside best friend Sophie Carter. For her outing, she favored a sage-green chiffon sundress and her favorite black Pied a Terre wedges.
2011
For her first Wimbledon trip as a married woman, she was accompanied by Prince William, her husband of two months. She wore her take on a tennis dress by Temperley London, teamed with a Stuart Weitzman clutch, a blow dry, and the charm bracelet she'd received from Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, as a wedding present.
2012
She was back the next year, and this time she brought her sister Pippa. Kate wore a suitably Wimbledon-esque cream Joseph dress with a cream Joseph jacket, her leopard-print Diane von Fürstenberg clutch, and Givenchy sunglasses.
2012
She attended with William again, this time in her cream and navy Alexander McQueen jumper dress, with her navy Jaeger quilted clutch and Diana's sapphire and diamond earrings.
2014
After missing the previous year because she was heavily pregnant with Prince George, Kate made a return alongside William in her cream Broderie Anglaise Zimmermann dress, teamed with her Anya Hindmarch fan clutch, red pashmina, and Ray Ban Wayfarers.
2014
Later in the tournament, Kate popped up again — this time in her green and turquoise Jonathan Saunders dress and taupe LK Bennett clutch.
2015
Just a couple of months after giving birth to Princess Charlotte, Kate attended with William in a scarlet LK Bennett dress with her leopard-print Diane von Fürstenberg clutch.
2016
As the brand-new Wimbledon patron, Kate sat between Philip and Gill Brook, the chairman of the All England Lawn Tennis Club and his wife. Moving away from the glamorous tennis-inspired whites of previous years, the duchess instead plumped for yellow Roksanda Ilincic.
