Every Detail of This Actress's Custom Wedding Gown Will Blow You Away

When actors Liu Shishi and Nicholas Wu wed in Bali, the decorations were breathtaking. Pastel floral arrangements lined the aisle and were structured into a giant arc, and the couple said their vows right in front of the water. But even with the gorgeous atmosphere, it was Liu (aka Cecilia Liu) in her custom Carven gown who really stopped us in our tracks. This was no average princess design. Made from ivory silk, affixed with a corset, and covered in a thin strip of tulle that extends to the ground, the A-line silhouette and crown-like veil were covered in intricacies.

Embroidered bouquets floated down Liu's skirt, and her delicate neckline was finished in scalloped lace. But our favorite detail had to be the buttons that ran down the front of the bodice, opening at the bottom to suggest volume. "We are thrilled to design the wedding dress for Liu Shishi as well as given the opportunity to revisit the haute couture heritage once created by Madame Carven for the house of Carven," creative directors Alexis Martial and Adrien Caillaudaud said.

Read on to see the stunning bridal look, which includes diamond chandelier earrings and a complementing cuff, and be sure to catch Liu's something blue: her name stitched in the Carven tag of her dress. Now that's a stylish touch every fashion girl is bound to love.
