Chanel Says It's OK to Wear Sneakers — Our Feet Rejoice

From Chanel's Fall 2014 show emerged one of the most high-comfort trends known to women: flats. And not just any flats. After debuting covetable kicks at Chanel Haute Couture in January, sneakers once again stomped Karl Lagerfeld's runway with all the conviction of the fiercest stiletto.

It didn't hurt matters that he embellished his footwear with lace, flowers, sequins, tweed, iridescent fabric, and the sort of feminine extras that made these steppers work with everything from denim to eveningwear (as we saw on the runway). The ultimate statement came back at couture when Cara Delevingne closed Chanel in a wedding gown and kicks, which gave brides everywhere the seal of approval to wear sneakers to their weddings.
