8 Practical Style Tips From One of the Industry's Biggest Bloggers

As the women we draw our style inspiration from daily, it only makes sense that fashion bloggers are taking the next step and putting their stamp on collections we can all wear. The latest is quite possibly our favorite so far: a smart mashup between the ever stylish Jacey Duprie of Damsel in Dior and the brand behind our killer essentials, Splendid.

The collaboration ($78-$198) will debut next month, but we can vouch for it now — a cool lineup you'll want to live in, infused with Jacey's chic P.O.V. While we all anxiously wait to shop, we caught up with the blogger extraordinaire, and chatted about everything from her favorite Splendid x Damsel duds to the secret sauce behind her successful business. Check it all out here and mark your calendars for the launch on Nov. 1.

"While I am a true fan of each and every piece in the collection, I'm a sucker for stripes and can try to find a way to wear them almost daily. During the colder months, I love styling stripes underneath sweaters and even plaid. It's a nice subtle surprise to have a pop of print under a chunky sweater. In the warmer months, I wear stripes with everything from floral to fun nights out and about."

On Taking the Perfect Instagram Pic:

On Taking the Perfect Instagram Pic:

"I think that the key to taking a flattering photo is all about the angle of the camera. A girl can be wearing a trash bag but if the photo is angled properly, then it can look good. When you are standing up, my favorite angle is to hold the camera lens at the shoulder level of the subject. Shooting down on someone is a bit overplayed for Instagram. My favorite way to take a selfie is the "damseling" shot (Look up the #damseling.) where I am sitting down on the floor. I particularly love this because you can use your legs to flirt with the camera and it takes some of the attention away from your face."

On Elevating Your Basics:

On Elevating Your Basics:

"Lately I've been loving to wear a basic white t-shirt layered under a sequin strappy dress or pairing a basic t-shirt with a not-so-basic skirt. Elevating basic, wearable pieces is easy when you pick a highly contrasting piece to pair it with."

"A vintage printed men's scarf. It's great for layering under pieces and can turn any girlie outfit into a menswear-inspired masterpiece."

"My advice would be to give it all you've got. Pour your heart and soul into every thing that you do so that if, at the end of the day, it doesn't work out, at least you know you gave it your absolute best. What has made mine so successful (First of all, thanks for saying that!)? I give it my all."

A Day in the Life . . .

A Day in the Life . . .

"There truly is no typical day in my world, which keeps things exciting. However, when I am not traveling, my days typically consist of waking up around 6:30a.m. to squeeze in e-mails and computer time for a few hours before heading off for a meeting or two or an event. I shoot photos for the website about twice a week, which lasts about 2-4 hours. I absolutely love running so I try to make time for that daily because it allows me to clear my head. At night I usually have dinner with friends, colleagues, and/or an event to go to."
