If you're anything like me, you have a much easier time getting people to join you for dinner than you do getting them to sign up for your Thursday night bootcamp class. And that can be frustrating, especially if you know they'll have a good time with you working out. But this is easy to solve. Armed with fun and creative workout ideas, you can easily sway your friend to excitedly participate in your next sweat session. Up ahead, here are three activities that are ideal for your fit fam.

A group TRX class is opportunity to socialize and challenge yourself

Explore the idea of trying a new class you haven't been to. TRX could be a good one. Once you change into your workout gear, grab your friend and walk to class together — this is an opportunity to share a few laughs. Seeing other people in a class setting can help push you to squeeze out another rep, or go just a little bit faster. Save 10 minutes after class for a regroup. See how your pal liked it, and if there's something else they'd rather try, agree to it. This is how you can show them there is more than one way to be fit! And, of course, if anything funny happened in class with the TRX straps, this is the time to go through it all.

Any time is a good time for a group walk

The best thing about a group walk is that it can happen at any time. If you and your friend have 10 free minutes, that's a great opportunity to empower each other and head outside. If there's a hill, challenge your friend to speed walk it, or if there's a bench, use it for tricep dips — you can find a fitness opportunity anywhere. Maybe there's something stressing your friend out that she wants to talk through. Are you new moms? Bring the stroller, and use it for lunges. Even if there isn't something specifically bothering your pal, there's the unavoidable post-workout endorphin rush that is fantastic. Endorphins trigger a positive feeling in the body . . . who wouldn't want to experience that together?

You will push your limits in dance class

If you've ever taken a dance class alone, you may have felt shy and held back. Your friend probably experiences these feelings, too. Remind them of those times when they might not have fully enjoyed class, then encourage them to join you in a liberating dance class by promising to unwind and go hard.
