The Closest You'll Get to Eating Over at Alton Brown's House

This time, it's personal.

Alton Brown released more information about his upcoming cookbook, called Everyday Cook ($35), in a video he shared with his "food fans" on Facebook. The 100-recipe cookbook, shot entirely on an iPhone, will be released on Sept. 27 (but you can preorder it now). This is Alton's first cookbook in five years! The chef promises all of the recipes are "delicious, doable, and perfectly suited to everyday cooking." While he made no mentions of exact recipes, he did say, "What's the food like? Well, it's the stuff I cook and eat every day, and it's the stuff you would eat if I invited you over for a meal, which I don't have to do now, because you'll have the book." It appears to be a growing trend in the food industry, as fans want to know what food personalities really eat, starting with Giada's Feel Good Food and Gwynyth Paltrow's It's All Good. Does Alton truly fry his own french fries and enjoy them in bed, upside down? We'll have to anxiously await until September to find out.
