You've already preordered tickets to your favorite festivals this Summer, which gives you tons of time for perfecting what you're packing. Along with having everything you want to wear and items to ensure you survive the elements, you also need lots of delicious eats so your never without a snack. We have six smart foodie solutions that you can bring with you.

01
Make Snack Mixes

Make Snack Mixes

Pick up supercheap plastic containers or even zip-top bags for prepacking snacks before heading out. You can mix together different ingredients, like peanuts, dried fruit, pretzels, or even veggie chips for a yummy combination of snacks that really hit the spot. Taking the time to put the containers together before heading out keeps them fresh and organized, instead of a big gaping bag overflowing in the middle of your tent. It's also a smart way to portion-control what you bring.

02
Freeze Yogurt Cups

Freeze Yogurt Cups

A week before you're leaving, put yogurt cups, water bottles, even juice boxes in the freezer and then use them instead of ice in your cooler. As you eat the yogurt and drink the water, replenish with ice at the festival and you're set.

03
Go With Peanut Butter and Tortillas

Go With Peanut Butter and Tortillas

You might think bringing a loaf of bread is the solution, but it often gets smushed when you're camping. Instead, pick up flour or corn tortillas, which travel so much better. And they're really versatile, too. Peanut butter is delicious and can be used for dipping pretzels or even making peanut butter banana roll-ups for snacking. Plus it contains protein and is so easy to eat.

Find Your Go-To Spot

Find Your Go-To Spot

Once you hit the festival, scope out the food vendors and look for the one that features a food item you love at the right price. This way you'll always know where to go when you're in need of something to eat. And the people at the stand will get to know you, which means they might hook you up with free toppings or extra additions — especially if you remember to tip.

05
Bring Instant Soup

Bring Instant Soup

One of my absolute favorite things to bring is packaged instant soup mixes. Make best friends with the coffee tent and ask for hot water in your thermos when getting your morning coffee. Then, when you're ready for something to eat, scoop and add the soup to the hot water, seal, and shake it up.

06
Stay Hydrated

Stay Hydrated

Whatever amount of water you're planning on bringing, double it. But you can also find delicious ways to stay hydrated at the venue with items like fresh coconut water. Also, don't toss your water bottle caps! Many festivals open the bottles and toss the cap before handing over the water, which makes it hard to toss in your bag. Pop a few in your pocket or bag so you can seal up your water bottle after having a couple of sips.
