Blue Bell Creameries Issues Ice Cream Recall Due to Listeria

Blue Bell Creameries has issued a voluntary recall of some of its chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream due to possible lysteria contamination. The statement on Blue Bell's official website reads:

"Consumption of this product may cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children and those with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer symptoms such as fever, headace, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Listeria infection cause miscarriages and still births among pregnant women. To date, the company has received no reports of illnesses."

This isn't the first Blue Bell recall of the year. Listeria contamination caused a Blue Bell recall in April that left the products off shelves for months.
