To say I love coffee would be an understatement — I can't go one day without it. I'm not a morning person, so when Keurig invited me to test out its brand-new appliance you can control from your smartphone, I was instantly intrigued. The idea of setting up and scheduling my freshly brewed coffee from the comfort of my bed (or anywhere) made me excited to give it a try.

The Keurig K-Supreme Plus Smart Single Serve Coffee Maker ($130, originally $200) is designed to give consumers a perfectly customized coffee just the way they like it by allowing you to make specific settings through the BrewID app on your phone.

What truly amazes me about this coffee maker is that the BrewID technology recognizes the specific brand and roast of the K-cup pod, then automatically customizes the brew settings to the recommendations of the coffee expert who created it. So whether you're using Peet's, Starbucks, Folgers, or whatever your favorite K-cup pod is, the brewer will immediately know what it is when you pop it in. You can fine tune it even more with a range of temperature, strength, and size settings.

With all these cool new bells and whistles, I was worried that the brewer might be hard to use. But as soon as I connected it to the app and turned it on, it was incredibly simple and easy. It also has an iced-coffee setting that I love to use on hotter days. I got my brewer a couple weeks ago, and I have consistently used it every day since because of how convenient it is. I love that I can set everything up so it's ready to go when I roll out of bed.

Best of all, the model is currently on sale through Amazon's Big Spring Sale — which means if you've been looking for an excuse to buy it (or upgrade your current coffee maker), now's the perfect time.

Easy to Use, and the Best Coffee Quality Yet

All the buttons on this coffee maker are easy to navigate. I also appreciate the brand's new MultiStream Technology, which uses five streams of water instead of one to thoroughly saturate the coffee grounds so you get the best flavor in every cup. The model seamlessly blends into my kitchen without taking up a bunch of space. I appreciate that it's narrow so I have more room on my countertops.
