In honor of the Super Strawberry Moon on June 24, Krispy Kreme is releasing a limited-edition supermoon-inspired doughnut, and it's pretty enough to make anyone go starry-eyed! The first full moon after the June solstice occurs during strawberry-harvesting season in the northeastern United States, and will be gracing the night sky on the 24th. During this time, the moon will be bigger and brighter than usual, giving stargazers another reason to look up (sadly, it won't appear pink in color). While celebrating the last supermoon of the year, skywatchers and doughnut-lovers alike can sink their teeth into this Strawberry Kreme-filled treat that's dipped in Strawberries and Kreme icing and topped with graham-cracker "moon dust." Did all of our dessert dreams just come true? Pretty much!

And this isn't the first time Krispy Kreme has made a space-themed treat (who could forget the solar-eclipse-themed doughnut or the Mars Doughnut created in honor of the NASA Perseverance Rover's Mars landing?!), which gives us hope that the chain will come out with more amazing desserts this year. But for now, we'll just impatiently wait for this fruit-filled creation to light up our night. Whether you're a fan of celestial happenings or you're just here for the doughnuts, head to participating shops on June 24 to try the new Strawberry Supermoon Doughnut!
