This Company Is Changing the Lives of Dementia Patients With This 1 Simple Front Door Solution

True Doors

For those with dementia, moving into an assisted living facility can be incredibly overwhelming and frightening, but one Dutch company is on a mission to ease this change for elderly patients. True Doors creates personalized stickers to help those with dementia recognize their rooms in a facility where all the rooms look the same.

The company used photos of the patients' previous homes to create identical front doors of the homes they lived in their whole lives. At a facility in South Holland, the company gifted 22 patients with door stickers; 17 chose from the company's collection and five had stickers personalized.

"The well-being service is especially useful for people with dementia, as these custom true doors stimulate memory and help with orientation, making it easier for people to find their rooms in new environments such as care homes," the site reads.

These awesome stickers are available for purchase and the perfect decorating tactic for any entryway. Keep reading to see some of the transformed assisted living patients' rooms and find out how to get yours.
