Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert Rocks Buckingham Palace

Today, commoners, Queen Elizabeth, and pop royalty gathered at Buckingham Palace for the BBC's Diamond Jubilee concert at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the monarch's 60 years on the throne.

Today, commoners, Queen Elizabeth, and pop royalty gathered at Buckingham Palace for the BBC's Diamond Jubilee concert at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the monarch's 60 years on the throne. Unfortunately, in the midst of her Diamond Jubilee Central Weekend, the queen is dealing with some trying circumstances, as her husband, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, was rushed to the hospital today with a bladder infection. Locals told BBC they feel for the royal couple, especially since Prince Philip will no longer be able to attend the rest of the Central Weekend events that include today's concert and tomorrow's service and carriage ride.

But the show must go on, and the queen still attended the Diamond Jubilee concert today (with earplugs in!) along with young royals Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, Zara Phillips, and Princess Beatrice. The star-studded event kicked off at 7:30 p.m. London time, and the public and royal family members alike — 12,000 people in total — jammed to music by Elton John, will.i.am, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams, and more on a stage built around the Queen Victoria Memorial in front of Buckingham Palace. Before the firework celebration ended the evening, Prince Charles introduced his "mummy," as he called her, and gave a touching speech in her honor. See the concert festivities now!

Katy Perry took the stage last night at the special Grammys nomination concert in LA that also brought out Monica and Selena Gomez.

Katy Perry took the stage last night at the special Grammys nomination concert in LA that also brought out Monica and Selena Gomez. It was an especially sweet evening for Katy, who found out she's in the running for four categories including Album of the Year and Pop Album of the Year with Teenage Dream. She later changed from her silver performance outfit into a gold Georges Chakra gown — what do you make of her look? Katy tweeted a surprised thanks to her team afterward, writing, "It's an amazing honor to be nominated and recognized by my other hard working peers tonight. So happy that I trusted my gut with this record." Katy was eclipsed, though, by pal Rihanna as well as Lady Gaga, who are both up for five awards. Eminem got the most love with eight nods for Best Solo Rap Performance, Best Song, and many more, and there was even love for the Eclipse soundtrack! Check out the full list of nominees over on Buzz.

Michael Phelps Cleans Up at the Star-Studded ESPY Awards

Many celebs hit the red carpet last night at the ESPY awards in LA to honor the stars of the sports industry.

Many celebs hit the red carpet last night at the ESPY awards in LA to honor the stars of the sports industry. Samuel L. Jackson was the evening's host, and he kept the audience laughing with his jokes about Twitter. Zachary Quinto took the stage looking dapper in his suit, while Miranda Kerr smiled for photos before the scary robbery at Orlando Bloom's house. Demi Moore was also on hand to present Michael Phelps with one of his five awards. It might not have been as snazzy as last year's Justin Timberlake's ESPY hosting gig, but the athletes and stars looked fantastic for the sports-filled night.

Michael wasn't the only one getting trophies — Hollywood's beloved Lakers won Best Team. Other presenters included Rashida Jones and Jeremy Piven, while funny men Andy Samberg and Seth Meyers watched alongside Billy Crudup. The festivities are set to air Sunday evening on ESPN.

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day, Buzz readers!

Happy Mother's Day, Buzz readers! How fitting that for this lovely occasion I happened to come across a clip that has both one of TV's best moms, Clair Huxtable, and Stevie Wonder singing a tune you might be repeating today, "I Just Called to Say I Love You." Aww!

In this clip from The Cosby Show, Stevie and the Huxtable children coax Clair into singing the song along with Stevie, and then by the end, they've all joined in. Even if you've already had a lot of sweetness and love today, this clip is too heartwarming to pass up. And if you're looking for more fun Mother's Day stuff, try your hand at my TV moms' quiz and movie moms' quiz. Have a wonderful Mother's Day!

Last night a grateful Barack and a stunning Michelle welcomed music legend Stevie Wonder to the White House to award him the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. The president made it clear that awarding the prize to Stevie was not strictly business. He said: "I think it’s fair to say that had I not been a Stevie Wonder fan, Michelle might not have dated me. We might not have married."

In fact, Barack and Michelle chose "You and I" by Stevie Wonder as their wedding song. Michelle pointed out that Stevie is doing a good job wooing the younger Obamas, too. The first lady said: "He recently performed with the Jonas Brothers, thrilling a new generation of young girls, including our own."

You can watch the award ceremony, and Stevie's performance from last night, tonight on PBS at 8 p.m. (EST). The Gershwin Prize goes to an artist whose career reflects lifetime achievement in promoting song as a vehicle of musical expression and cultural understanding. Thank you Stevie for sharing your talents with the world and bringing the loving first couple together years ago!
