The LAPD is apparently questioning Shaha Adham's Russian roulette story about Scott Ruffalo's death. The story doesn't quite line up, since he was shot in the back of the head, the 911 call was for assault not suicide, and the paramedics didn't even know he was shot until he was inside the ambulance. — TMZ

Invesco Field at Mile High was full of excited supporters out to watch Barack Obama's historic speech last night at the finale of the DNC in Denver. As expected, some big names took the stage and their seats as the Democratic presidential candidate accepted the party's nomination and gave his speech — Citizen was there, check out her thoughts on the scene! Obama wasn't the only rock star in the house as John Legend and Sheryl Crow both performed, as did Jennifer Hudson who sang the national anthem. Fergie wore her ridiculous sunglasses, while Jessica Alba and Cash looked proud to be there even if Honor is a bit too young for the actual event. The journey to election day will only get harder from here for Obama, but it looks like his Hollywood fans are ready to do what it takes to lend their support.

Last night the ladies looked easy and breezy on the red carpet at the NAACP Awards but it was dapper Denzel who took home top honors. The Oscar presenter may not be nominated for any Academy Awards this year but he did score 4 Image Awards last night for his movie The Great Debaters including Best Actor and Best Motion Picture. The evening also included Hall of Fame winner Stevie Wonder who has quite a few fabulous things to say about Obama and Hillary as well as a great performance. Janet Jackson presented the singer with his honor and she also scored her own award for Best Supporting Actress in Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married? To see which musician scored 4 awards herself as well as a complete list of winners, click here.
Kate Hudson was spotted in yet another stylish, gray coat after catching a performance by Stevie Wonder in London last night. She took a little break from making movies after You, Me and Dupree back in 2006, but soon she'll be hitting up the likes of TRL and lots of red carpets to promote her Fool's Gold with Matthew McConaughey. After seeing these two working and laughing together again in Australia, we were psyched to get a glimpse of their romantic comedy. Unfortunately, after watching the trailer, we have a feeling that the new film is not quite on the same level as How to Lose a Guys in 10 Days. Check it out after the jump, and tell us what you think.
For this week's Buzzworthy challenge, let's take a little trip down Memory Lane... back to when you bought your first album. Not your first CD, mind you, but the first album (or albums) you can recall purchasing and bringing home as your own.
My first memory of putting my very own brand-new cassette in the tape player features Madonna's 1983 self-titled album, Madonna. I've bookmarked the CD version of it, of course, because that's much easier these days. I also have fond memories of bringing home Talking Book by Stevie Wonder and grooving to "Superstition." Molly has helped me kick off this Buzzworthy challenge by bookmarking Paula Abdul's Straight Up — and she found an actual cassette version online! Ah, memories.
Whether you find them in cassette form or CD (or 8-track... or vinyl!) just use Buzzsugar's cool bookmarking tool to bookmark your own albums online and tag them with the phrase first album (singular, no "s"). I'll post some readers' picks here next week. You can also now make a list of your picks. Here are mine:
Tim McGraw stopped singing in the middle of a performance to accuse a fan of stealing a ring off of his pinky finger. The fan claims the ring came off before Tim shook her hand, but either way the crowd was definitely hands-on that night. - TMZ
Stevie Wonder will tour the U.S. for the first time in over 10 years, hitting 8 states around the country. Better buy your tickets now! - MSN
Ellen Barkin filed suit against her ex-husband to try to get more than the $40 milllion she's already received from their divorce settlement. At what point is she considered shameless? - Page Six
It has been confirmed that Claire Danes will make her Broadway debut as Eliza Doolittle in Pygmalian. It's cool to see that she's changing things up. - Reuters
Apparently Paula Abdul takes so many painkillers that she passes out every morning while her hair and makeup is getting done and has to set an alarm to wake herself up. She just keeps getting weirder and weirder. - Page Six
