J.K. Rowling Honors the Late Brazilian Voice of Harry Potter With This Message

Sad news in the world of Harry Potter. Brazilian police officer and voice-over actor Caio César, who was the Portuguese voice of Harry Potter, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, after being shot while on duty in Rio de Janeiro at 27. César also worked on other children's films, including Dora the Explorer, How to Train Your Dragon, X-Men: Evolution, and Avatar: The Last Airbender. When J.K. Rowling heard the news, she honored the artist and expressed grief on Twitter, writing:

Desperately sad to hear that Caio César, Brazilian voice of Harry Potter, has died at the age of 27. My thoughts are with his family.
