At Cinderella Castle

At Cinderella Castle

Cinderella Castle is the most iconic feature of Magic Kingdom park. There are plenty of Disney PhotoPass photographers along Main Street, USA as you approach the castle. However, my favorite spot is right in front of the Partners Statue, with Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse. Not only will your photo include the entire castle, but it also spotlights the two who started it all.

Enjoying Disney treats

Enjoying Disney treats

Some of the best and funniest photos of my children are of them eating their favorite Disney snacks. Mickey’s Ice Cream Bars, Main Street Popcorn, and Dole Whips are just some of our must-eat snacks. Mickey-shaped anything can really jazz up a photo. While I like to live in the moment, I also love going through photos of the huge grins on my children’s faces when they're covered in chocolate.

On rides and attractions

As a ride chicken, I’m always the first to volunteer to sit out of Splash Mountain and take a photo of the big drop. Sometimes my husband will wait with our littlest one as I ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness, and snap our photo as we round the bend. If you purchase Memory Maker, some ride photos are included such as Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.

Posing with characters

Posing with characters

I will never forget the look of joy on my child’s face as she met Mickey Mouse for the first time and ran to give him a giant hug! With the My Disney Experience app you can find out when and where your favorite Disney characters are meeting up. Don’t want to wait? Schedule a FastPass+ time to meet the Disney princesses at Princess Fairytale Hall or Tinker Bell at Town Square Theater. We also love reserving a Disney character breakfast to get multiple characters in one meal.

With Mom in the photo

Moms: yes, I’m talking to you. It’s time for us to get in the photos! Our kids want to see us bask in the magic, too. I love to be behind the camera to make sure I get my perfect shot, but it’s time to give up control. Take a selfie, have dad or grandma take the pic, or let the Disney PhotoPass Photographers do the work. However you need to do it, get in the picture. Yes, I do have a framed picture of me and Mickey Mouse, thank you very much.

With the whole family

With the whole family

Group shots are the best! You’ll make yourself crazy trying to get the perfect shot with everyone staring right at the camera, and quite often the best ones are the practically perfect ones. This is when Disney PhotoPass Photographers are your best friends. Don’t see one nearby? Then ask any Disney Cast Member or even a stranger. I’ll usually say, “Hey, if you take one of us, we’ll take one of you.” It’s a win-win and you’ll either smile at your favorite family picture or laugh at being photobombed behind you.
