Anchorage, AK, reporter Charlo Greene is speaking out about why she quit her job at KTVA in a splashy, NSFW exit on Sunday night. In a clip shared on YouTube, Charlo explains why she is choosing to focus her time and energy on marijuana legalization in Alaska, saying, "There comes a time in each and every one of our lives where we must choose to continue to spectate or stand up for what's right." She added, "Advocating for freedom and fairness should be everyone's duty. I'm making it my life work to uphold what America stands for truly: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, ideals that now need to be defended."

In case you missed it, Charlo was reporting on a marijuana ballot issue when she revealed that she herself was an activist for legalizing pot: "Everything you've heard is why I, the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, will be dedicating all of my energy toward fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska. And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice, but f*ck it, I quit." She then walked off the set while the camera cut to a visibly flustered anchor. After her exit, she began posting from the Alaska Cannabis Club's Twitter account, explaining that she wants to redirect all of her energy to "end a failed drug policy that has ruined to lives of far too many Americans." She also shared a link to her IndieGoGo page, where she is seeking to raise $5,000 to continue campaigning for legalization. Watch Charlo's full NSFW exit below.
