Traveling With Your SO Can Positively Affect Your Relationship Up to 1 Month Later

Studies say couples experience a sexual "afterglow" up to 48 hours after having sex, and turns out, traveling together has even longer-lasting effects. A new survey conducted by vacation rental company Twiddy found that when we travel with our partners, that afterglow can continue for up to a month.

The survey questioned over 2,000 participants about their sexual behaviors at home vs. on vacation. Forty-three percent of respondents said that they felt closer to their partners a few weeks to a month following their travels. Nineteen percent reported never losing that travel afterglow.

The results make sense since going on vacation is great for your health, increases sex drive, and makes us happier overall, according to the survey.

If you really want to up the romance on your next couple's vacation, opt for a tropical beach destination — 60 percent of respondents ranked that choice as the sexiest of all. Time to finally book that trip!
