This Little Boy Was Caught Sneaking Into His Neighbor's Garage — Just to Steal a Hug From Their Dog

When Hollie Mallet came across a clip of a little boy sneaking into her garage while scrolling through security footage, she understandably wanted to find out who the child was.

The Louisiana woman continued to watch the footage and saw that the young boy wasn't up to any trouble — the only thing he stole was a quick hug from their dog. Hollie realized that she recognized the boy because she's seen him occasionally stop at the end of her driveway with a ball to toss at their dog. "We live in small town so everyone pretty much knows everyone, but we don't know all the neighborhood kids because we don't have small children anymore," Hollie told ABC News.

She posted the heartwarming clip on Facebook in hopes that someone could help identify her pet's new friend. The video quickly made its way to Josh Breaux's mom, Ginger Breaux, who had mixed feelings when she first saw it.

"Josh talks about your dog all the time!" Ginger commented on the video. "Every time we pass he looks to see if she was sitting where he could see her. Just didn't know he was doing things like this. Last night when I first saw it, I was torn as a momma being happy and upset because he knows he shouldn't be on someone's property, but I wake up this morning more happy that he just absolutely adores dogs so much."

Ginger later shared that Josh's beloved dog, who has been a part of their family since the boy was 2 years old, recently passed away and the family hasn't replaced her yet. Hollie has been more than happy to encourage a friendship between Josh and her pup. "Its' a win-win. They both get a friend," Hollie explained. "With my husband and I at work all day, it's great for him to come and find her to play. Every day since, he's been coming back and he's been playing with her and it's so fun to check the video at the end of the day to watch them."
