What This Cop Did When a Boy Got Lost in a Crowd Is Going Viral

Losing a child in a crowd is one of every mother's worst nightmares, and thanks to a kind-hearted police officer, one recent incident turned out way better than it could have. Officer David Taylor carried a young boy who lost his mother at the International Rice Festival in Crowley, LA, for half an hour until he found his way back to his mom. The sweet image was shared on Twitter and Facebook and quickly went viral as people shared news of the heartwarming act.

"I think it's awesome, because we hear so much negative things about our police officers today," said one woman in the KLFY News video. "I'm happy to say that I've seen something that's a positive image; an officer that's going above and beyond the call of duty."

Officer Taylor insists he was only doing his job and is humble about all the attention. "What I was doing is nothing different from the rest of our law enforcement colleagues. The only difference is that someone took a photo of me," he said.
