When Khari Toure discovered that his 6-year-old daughter was being bullied at school because of her weight, he was devastated. And then he sprung into action.

Realizing that children everywhere must deal with bullying every day, he wrote "Love Yourself," a powerful rap anthem enforcing the belief that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. Lyrics include:

  • "I'm beautiful / I'm worthy / And those mean words / Can't hurt me / I'm priceless / I'm smart / And I love myself / I'm focused on my health"
  • "Remember / Your worth isn't determined by your weight / And you should never hate"
  • "Learn to be your body's number one supporter / Because negative thoughts lead to eating disorders"

The video has already racked up more than two million views on YouTube, proving that girls everywhere need to hear the supportive message.

"Seeing both my (older) daughters bullied, it made me want to write a song of affirmation for children that they could repeat to themselves," Touré told Today Parents. "It was a love letter not only to my daughters, but to every child who's been bullied, made fun of, and made to feel less-than, unworthy, or unattractive."

Watch it and share it with the children in your life — we could all use some encouragement.
