See the Cell Phone Video That Got a Day Care Employee Charged With Child Abuse

Using her cell phone, a day care employee took a video of Kimberly Reid, 41, director at Children's Palace Day Care Center in Clermont, FL, striking a 4-year-old boy, then picking him up and dropping him face down onto the floor.

Police were sent to the day care Friday afternoon after the employee who took the video reported being uncomfortable with the way Reid was handling the child and sent the video to The Department of Children and Families. The boy's father, who was contacted by the police, said he "did not give Reid permission to strike or drop his child."

Erin Razo, a member of the Clermont Police Department, told WESH Orlando: "I don't know why anybody would do something like this to a child. It's very disturbing to watch."

Reid was arrested and has been charged with child abuse.
