This Little Girl Is All Smiles Despite Nearly a Year in the Hospital and 2 Bone Marrow Transplants

My daughter has overcome two bone marrow transplants. She has spent the last 322 days away from her family and mostly in the hospital due to complications. However, she has the joy of the Lord and a love for music. Overcomer is one of her all time favs! Someone suggested I share it with you personally! She is such a light to all she meets....I hope she brings a smile to your face, too!

Despite nearly a year in the hospital away from her family and two bone marrow transplants, 4-year-old Leah is putting a big smile on the faces of millions.

When her mother, Lindsay Chapman-Carroll, posted a video to Facebook of Leah — who suffers from severe congenital neutropenia, a condition that causes her to be prone to recurrent infections — singing during her recovery in the hospital, it's unlikely that she thought over 19 million people would see that clip. However, because the song the adorable toddler is singing is "Overcomer" by Mandisa, Lindsay decided to post it to Mandisa's Facebook page, where tons of her fans were able to see it.

"My daughter has overcome two bone marrow transplants. She has spent the last 322 days away from her family and mostly in the hospital due to complications," Lindsay wrote in the video's caption. "'Overcomer' is one of her all time favs! Someone suggested I share it with you personally! She is such a light to all she meets . . . I hope she brings a smile to your face, too!"

And that she did — Mandisa commented on the video herself to say that Leah "brought a smile to my face, tears to my eyes, and joy to my soul." The singer then asked permission to post the video to her page herself to share with even more people. "Leah's light shines so brightly!" Mandisa wrote in a comment replying to Lindsay. "As evidence, tons of people messaged me to make sure I saw this precious angel! I sure hope I can meet her soon."

This amazing little lady is battling this condition full force, and her positivity and energy is truly inspiring.
