Here's a recipe that's slightly magical, which will blow your child's mind. The combination of JELL-O strawberry-flavored gelatin and marshmallows turns into a delicious snack that's also so surprising. While making the recipe, discuss with your child what she thinks might happen between the hot ingredients once things have cooled — she'll be amazed with the results. And your child can get involved with rolling up the spirals, turning it into snackable fun.

JELL-O Roll-Ups

From Kraft Recipes

INGREDIENTS

    • 1 3-ounce box JELL-O strawberry-flavored gelatin
    • 1/2 cup boiling water
    • 1 1/2 cups minimarshmallows

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. In a small bowl, mix together the boiling water and the JELL-O strawberry-flavored gelatin mix until the gelatin has dissolved. Slowly start adding the marshmallows while stirring. Microwave in 10-second bursts to help melt the marshmallows.

    2. Lightly grease an 11-by-7-inch baking pan and pour in the mixture. Place in the fridge for 1 hour.

    3. Now invite your child to start rolling the cooled mixture into a long length. Cut into sections revealing the amazing roll-up!
