Justin Timberlake Sings Happy Birthday to Autistic Boy

Justin Timberlake Made an 8-Year-Old Autistic Boy's Birthday Dream Come True

Concert-goers come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. But when Marika Rosenthal Delan and her husband took their 8-year-old son, Julian, to Justin Timberlake's concert this week, they were worried that he wouldn't fit in. Julian, who is autistic, is a huge Justin Timberlake fan whose only birthday request was tickets to see his favorite artist perform. His parents worried that his "obsessions, his volume, his repetitiveness, his clumsiness," etc. would disrupt fellow concert-goers and ruin their nights, but they proceeded with their plan anyway. When they saw a group of well-dressed girls sit down in front of them, they feared for the worst. But, as Marika writes:

"At the perfect quiet moment, the group in front of us started yelling to get Justin's attention, because despite his loud volume, Julian's voice was not carrying. Only repeating. And then before we knew what was happening, the group in front of us that had turned out to be so incredibly kind all night to our birthday boy, and these gorgeous girls who I was convinced would be totally annoyed by Julian, had captured Justin's attention. And then it happened. Justin Timberlake was singing 'Happy Birthday.' They all were. The awesome grandmother of three sitting in front of us. The model-esque girls sitting to our right. The people sitting to our left that offered us the video that they captured of the whole thing. They were all singing. All 25,000 of them."

And that's when Justin Timberlake won us over — yet again — with his unbelievable heart.
