KFC Kicks Out 3-Year-Old For Facial Scars

Did This Girl's Scars Get Her Kicked Out of KFC?

Some serious allegations have been made about Kentucky Fried Chicken, and for once they aren't related to the food. Victoria's Victories, a Facebook page following 3-year-old Victoria Wilcher's recovery from a pit bull attack, posted a photo of the tot along with the accusation that an employee at the Jackson, MS, location asked the child and her grandmother to leave because "her face scared the other diners." Thousands shared and commented on the story, including a KFC social media representative who wrote:

Please accept our sincere apologies while we try to investigate this incident. If you could help provide details of the incident at social.media@sertec.com and we will look into this immediately. We have zero tolerance for any kind of disrespectful behavior by our team members. Once we have further details, we will immediately investigate this and take action, and we wish nothing but the best for Victoria in her recovery.

Victoria was attacked by three pit bulls this past April, which left her with a broken upper and lower jaw, nose, and cheekbones. She also lost her right eye and the ability to move the right side of her face, and she must use a feeding tube to eat. After a hearing about the incident, KFC spokesman Rick Maynard released a statement saying that the company is launching a full investigation. He adds that KFC is making a $30,000 donation to assist with Victoria's medical bills. The gesture, however, won't fix the damage done to Victoria's feelings. Kelly Mullins, Victoria's grandmother, says the incident has made the 3-year-old ashamed of her appearance.

"She won't even look in the mirror anymore," Mullins tells a local news station. "When we go to a store, she doesn't even want to get out of the car."

So apparently this is a hoax.....

Thanks for the compliment, I really wished I was wrong but it appears I was not. :( The family still says it happened yet the FB page and gofundme page have both been taken down. This entire story is just sad.

Signing a petition isn't proof of anything! It was on ABC news today that the whole thing was a fraud, that they used that poor kid and the public's good nature to bilk over $130,000.

This claim turned out to be a hoax and the family has scammed over $130,000 off of it, including $30,000 from KFC itself. Hope the little girl has a good life but I hope they throw the book at the grandmother and whoever else may have participated in the fraud, using this poor little lady for gain.

In agreement coz I would have done the same thing. All the best in your recovery sweetheart. Hust remember you are beautiful and the people that were rude to you are ugly and should take a good long look in the mirror

I am simply saying I don't believe the story. You can all you want, that is your choice I just find it odd the gofundme was originally set for 20 grand, they upped it to 100,000 when the story went viral and then once they hit that, they upped it again to 200,000, plus a plastic surgeon has set up another dontaion sinte. Mind you, before the Facebook post was reported by the media, the family had raised less than $300. Also it is my understanding that the Jackson KFC accused of asking a 3-year-old girl to leave because of facial scars suffered during a pit bull attack has hired a third-party to investigate the claim after an internal review could not verify the incident. To me this just seems fishy, I have a child who was born with only one lung and a displaced heart, I know first hand how much medical expenses suck. That is why I work my ass off. :)
