This Little Girl's Martial Arts Routine Gives Fierce a Whole New Meaning

Most little girls hope to dance with tutus, but this little girl is doing it with her sword.

To say that we're impressed (and a little intimidated) by 10-year-old Jesse Jane McParland is a total understatement. This karate kid talked to Ellen DeGeneres about first getting into martial arts at the age of 3 when she decided to drop out of ballet and dance class. McParland's parents still wanted her to do a sport, and after she passed up basketball, she was determined to give karate a try.

At first, her parents were concerned that martial arts might be too dangerous. But when McParland's mom asked why she didn't enjoy dance classes, her definitive response was perfect: "I said, Mommy, not every girl dreams of being a little princess."

The strength that flows from McParland's body as she shows off her moves is just incredible. Just because she doesn't want to be a queen doesn't mean her ambitions are any less powerful!
