Our Must Haves For June

You won't have any trouble getting your kids into the bath once they see what's waiting for them when they're done! Pottery Barn Kids' new Superhero Hooded Towels ($50) are available in Wonder Woman, Spider-Man, Batman, and Star Wars designs that will have your tot feeling like she can leap tall buildings in a single bound. They're so cute that we have a feeling they'll be making their way to the beach this Summer as well!

We're longtime fans of Janod's high-quality wooden toys, but its new Janod Story Grand Prix Suitcase ($50) totally blew us away. Consider this your kids' new favorite travel toy. Everything you need to create a race track and viewing stands is contained within the suitcase — including three wooden race cars and stickers with 20 national flags representing countries around the world. The suitcase itself is even part of the playset. And for those who prefer princesses to race cars, there's a very pink castle version as well!

Not every car has a backup camera, but they are a really handy addition to a vehicle that can help to prevent the most unthinkable tragedy. Now that Summer is on its way and kiddos will be outside all day, every day, you can't go too far with safety measures. Easily installable and fully weatherproof, the Yada Digital Wireless Backup Camera ($140) is a safety-conscious addition to any camera-less car.

The first in a series of artist collaborations, PLAE's new Art of PLAE shoe ($75) turns kids into shoe designers. Each pair comes with an Arte Sempre print on the white canvas and a package of washable Faber-Castell markers so kids can customize the shoes to their liking. Best of all, when they're bored with their design, they can wash the shoes and start all over again!

Finding time to actually watch the new season of Orange Is the New Black when it premieres this month is going to be tricky for most new moms, but putting their baby in this silly little orange jumpsuit ($20) is a no-brainer.

I'm excited to see that Muv, one of my favorite finds at ABC Kids last year, is finally bringing its strollers to market in the US. Muv's three-wheel stroller, the GAAN ($689), is full of magnetic touches so kids aren't awakened by the sound of Velcro. The stroller features a three-position handlebar, a four-position footrest, a 360-degree belly bar, and a seat that folds with the frame. Best of all, the storage basket doubles as a thermal compartment — add an ice pack or a warmer, and food and bottles will keep their temperature while out and about.

Stokke's new modular nursery pieces are just what we've been looking for in terms of furniture that grows with our kids. Designed to work with your child from birth on up, the collection includes a crib, portable cradle, changer, and dresser. The pieces all work with each other, so the cradle attaches to the crib while the changer attaches to the dresser, crib, or cradle, and once they're no longer needed, the pieces can be removed and reconfigured.

The most versatile piece in the collection is the crib ($700) with its adjustable platform and removable sides. Once the child is no longer in a crib or toddler bed, it converts into a sofa or playhouse.

Giggle won us over with its Better Basics line of simple baby clothes a few years back, but now the modern baby store is expanding its line with a collection of fun designs for newborns and toddlers. Our favorite is this popsicle-patterned dress ($30) that is perfect for hot Summer days!

After just a few months of using my two-piece travel system, in which I'd laboriously maneuver a bulky car seat and a separate hard-to-fold stroller, I was getting exhausted at the idea of going anywhere that involved both a car ride and a stroll. But this Doona infant car seat that unfolds into a stroller ($499) has made those transitions so much smoother . . . and a whole lot lighter.

Kids' shoes are cute, but kids' sandals are somehow even cuter. And these new Livie & Luca sandals ($54) — complete with a starburst decal and a touch of glitter — will be every girl's go-to accessory this Summer.

It's the 65th anniversary of the Peanuts comic strip, and we couldn't be more excited about the fun ways Target is celebrating. Charlie Brown and the gang are appearing on several products throughout the store (e.g. water bottles, beach blankets, beach balls, etc.), but our favorite in the collection is this Snoopy Dog House Tent ($35). What better place for your little ones to hide out this Summer than Snoopy's iconic home!
