When This Teen Told His Mom to Stop the Car, She Had No Idea What Would Come Next

As a parent, there are certain moments when you know that you've done your job right: when your son says "please" and "thank you," when your daughter holds the door for others, or even when one of them offers to share snacks with a friend. For Virginia mom Teresa Adams, her moment of joyful realization came on a snowy day when her teenage son, Tommy, abruptly asked her to stop the car . . . She had no clue that what he'd do next would make her cry with pride!

Without being prompted, Tommy hopped out of the car and into the snow, where an elderly man was struggling to shovel his driveway. "He was relieved; he looked tired," the teen said. "I told him to get back into his car because it was cold. Other people who saw him in the snow should have had the decency to stop." Tommy completed the exhausting labor for the man before wishing him a good day and returning to Adams's car. Watch the full story, and you'll understand why his mom is so proud.
