Even if you have a toddler with a short attention span, this two-step art activity can be accomplished with unique results. Starting with a bold color makes the circles pop, which turns into wall art you'll love putting on display. Older kids can create lines of circles or even patterns for a finished look.
What You'll Need:
- Canvas
- Scrap paper
- Acrylic paint
- Foam brush
- Toilet paper roll
- Paper plate
Directions:
- Cover your work area with scrap paper to protect your space.
- Place two large dots of similar color paint on the canvas, and offer your child the foam paintbrush. Encourage her to mix the colors together, making swooping lines.
- Now add a drop of paint to a paper plate and tap with the toilet paper tube and then press on the canvas. Using a complementary color really makes the circles pop!
- Once dry, display in a spot where your child can see her finished artwork.
