Why This Woman Is Proud of Being "the Meanest Mom in the World"

Even though Jamie Primak Sullivan took her kids out for ice cream, she still walked away with three extremely upset children and the self-proclaimed title of "meanest mom in the world." But for this publicist and producer, that's a title she'll wear proudly if it means that she taught her little ones an important life lesson.

In a Facebook post that has since gone viral, Jamie described what happened after she brought her kids to Dairy Queen and let them place their orders:

The young lady (maybe 17) handed each child their ice cream. Not one looked her in the eye. Not one said thank you. Not to her, not to me... So I waited. I counted to 10 in my head as they dug into their ice cream and the young lady just looked at me (probably because she thought I was hearing voices) and I watched as my children strolled out the door. I followed them outside where I calmly collected their ice creams and my kids watched in horror as I deposited them into the nearby garbage can.

She then explained to her kids that one day, if they were lucky, each of them would work a job like the young lady who served them their ice cream. She said that when that day comes, she hopes that people will really see them, look them in the eye, and say thank you.

"We are too old at eight, seven, and five to move through our days without exercising manners and honestly, basic human decency," Jamie noted. "So today, I am the meanest mom in the world."
