While parents and kiddos both typically experience excitement and nerves on the first day of school, it's usually for very different reasons. Moms and dads often secretly count down to the moment that school bus takes off — despite the stress of getting kids up early and starting the routine again — while their little ones are eager to break in their new back-to-school gear even if they wish this day never actually arrived. As soon as that first alarm of the year rings, parents have the daunting task of getting everyone out of the house on time. Throughout the process, many go through a mini emotional roller coaster, and this is it.

Your body isn't used to the alarm going off quite so early anymore.

It hits that this is the day you've been waiting for.

You make a beeline for the caffeine.

It's time to start the wake-up game and you're already prepared for the struggle.
