Hillary Clinton Delivers an Incredible Message to Little Girls in Her Concession Speech

On the Wednesday morning after the historic 2016 election, Hillary Clinton delivered a concession speech in New York City. Watch the full video below.

Clinton appeared alongside her husband, both of them dressed in purple (perhaps a nod to red/blue unity?). The Democratic nominee said "we cherish" the peaceful transition of power and reminded viewers that "our constitutional democracy demands our participation, not just every four years, but all the time." Though she appeared to be holding back tears, she maintained a positive message, even giving a nod to "secret private Facebook sites" like Pantsuit Nation.

"Donald Trump is going to be our president. We owe him an open mind and the chance to lead."

"I have spent my entire life fighting for what I believe in. This loss hurts, but please, never stop believing that fighting for what's right is worth it."

"To all the women and especially the young women who put their faith in this campaign and in me, I want you to know that nothing has made me prouder than to be your champion."

"And to all of the little girls who are watching this, never doubt that you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and opportunity in the world to pursue and achieve your own dreams."

"We still have not shattered that highest and hardest glass ceiling. But someday, someone will."

"I know how disappointed you feel because I feel it too, and so do tens of millions of Americans. This is painful, and it will be for a long time.
