Ronald Reagan's Daughter Slams Donald Trump in a Viral Facebook Post Over "Horrifying" Comments

Ronald Reagan's daughter is speaking out about Donald Trump's incendiary comments earlier this week that "Second Amendment people" could do something to stop Hillary Clinton. In a viral Facebook post, Patti Davis wrote that President Reagan was shot by a man who was inspired by a movie and that Trump's comments could also encourage someone to take violent action against Clinton.

"Your glib and horrifying comment about 'Second Amendment people' was heard around the world . . . It was heard by the person sitting alone in a room, locked in his own dark fantasies, who sees unbridled violence as a way to make his mark in the world, and is just looking for ideas," she wrote.

President Reagan was shot in 1981 by a man named John Hinckley after he saw Taxi Driver, in which the main character plants to assassinate a presidential candidate.

Trump's campaign has said his words were taken out of context and that he meant Second Amendment people could unify to politically stop Clinton. However, many aren't buying it and are outraged over his comments.
