The Truth About a Facebook Post Claiming Target Has Urinals in Women’s Bathrooms

Don't believe everything you see on the internet — like this Facebook post claiming Target is replacing women's restroom stalls with urinals to accommodate transgender customers. A (nonexistent) move the Facebook poster claims as another example of the "war on women." Depressingly, the fake photo has over 15,000 shares.

Target says, no, it is not putting urinals in the women's restroom. And why would it anyway? It's not like people have urinals in their homes. A regular toilet works for just about everyone. But the company has taken a side in the conversation about bathrooms and gender. Last week, Target said customers and employees are welcome to use bathrooms and fitting rooms corresponding to their gender identity. The company's statement read: "Everyone deserves to feel like they belong. And you'll always be accepted, respected and welcomed at Target." Since then, the American Family Association has received almost 1 million signatures to its petition asking people to boycott Target.
