The 1 Moment Everyone Noticed at the Beginning of the Debate

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump took the stage in St. Louis for the second presidential debate. After the Trump family shook hands with Bill Clinton, the candidates entered the forum — but they noticeably did not shake hands.

Given the last 48 hours, it's not surprising that Clinton did not shake Trump's hand. Especially considering that just before the debate, Trump held a press conference with women who had accused Bill Clinton of sexual assault — in essence, an attempt to justify his actions by pointing out someone else's. That's false equivalency. While it's unclear if the lack of gesture was intentional, the message was apparent.
