Here's What Hillary Clinton Plans to Do in 2017

If you thought Hillary Clinton was going to take time off after an exhausting campaign, you were wrong. The former Democratic presidential candidate will release not one but two books this year published by Simon & Schuster.

The first book will be a collection of essays based on quotes Clinton has collected over the years; it will hit shelves this Fall, according to a press release. The publisher will also issue an illustrated version of Clinton's 1996 bestseller It Takes a Village for children, and proceeds from sales will be donated to charity.

Speaking about her new book, Clinton emphasized how the quotes guided her career and life. "These are the words I live by," Clinton wrote in the release statement. "These quotes have helped me celebrate the good times, laugh at the absurd times, persevere during the hard times and deepen my appreciation of all life has to offer."

According to the Associated Press, Clinton is also slated to speak at a few events. She's scheduled to give the commencement address at her alma mater Wellesley College in the Spring.

Clinton's next event might excite you as well: in March, she will address an event organized by her initiative Vital Voices on International Women's Day with former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.
