Ted Cruz Just Dissed Trump So Hard and Got Booed Off the RNC Stage

Ted Cruz literally got booed off the stage at the RNC after he told the audience to vote their conscience in November. "Vote your conscience" has been the slogan of some delegates here trying to stop Trump from winning the nomination.

"And to those listening, please, don't stay home in November," he said in his speech. "Stand, and speak, and vote your conscience. Vote for candidates up and down the ticket who you trust to defend our freedom and to be faithful to the constitution."

It was one of the most intense moments of the convention so far, since many were waiting for Cruz to endorse Trump in his speech tonight but he didn't. Instead, he gave Republicans permission to not vote for Trump. Many in the crowd exploded in chants of "Endorse Trump!"

Cruz ran alongside Trump for the GOP candidacy in May but dropped out after losing a string of primaries to the real estate mogul. Here's a tweet he sent in March 2016:

Nominating Donald Trump would be a train wreck. It would be handing the White House over to Hillary Clinton. #GOPTownHall
