6 Movie-Inspired Costumes For You and Your Pup

When it comes time to put together your Halloween costume this October, don't forget to include your dog! There are plenty of ways to coordinate your costume with your pup, but why not look to the silver screen and use movie star dogs as your inspiration? We pulled together a handful of human-and-dog teams from the movies to get your creative juices flowing for your next Halloween celebration.

Legally Blonde — Elle Woods and Bruiser

What you need for your costume: Any pink outfit will do. You also need a winning smile.
What your dog needs: A matching pink outfit, of course.

The Wizard of Oz — Dorothy and Toto

What you need for your costume: To pull off the part of Dorothy, you'll need a white shirt with a blue dress over it, your hair in pigtails, and the iconic ruby slippers.
What your dog needs: Your dog needs no costume for this, and if you can fit him into a basket, you're basically all set.

Up — Carl and/or Russell and Dug

What you need for your costume: If you're dressing up as Carl, you need a button-down with trousers, a cardigan, a bow tie, square glasses, and a cane. For Russell, a standard scout uniform — complete with sash and badges — will work.
What your dog needs: A collar that lights up.

What you need for your costume: Your favorite LBD, a faux-fur coat, elbow-length gloves, and superhigh heels. Don't forget her signature black and white hair, also.
What your dog needs: If he doesn't already have them, he definitely needs some spots.

Anchorman — Ron Burgundy and Baxter

What you need for your costume: Your smartest '70s-style suit and a wicked mustache.
What your dog needs: Other than an undying loyalty for your antics, absolutely nothing.
