George and Amal Head to Cabo to Holiday With Cindy and Rande
George and Amal Head to Cabo to Holiday With Cindy and Rande

The holiday break has begun for George Clooney! He and his new wife, Amal Alamuddin, escaped to Mexico with their longtime friends Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber on Monday. The group, including Cindy and Rande's kids, Kaia and Presley, hung out near the beach, where they enjoyed cold drinks and snapped photos together. Amal kept her bikini covered up in a bright yellow dress, and while George didn't go shirtless, Rande did. Both families, who share a luxurious home in Cabo, frequent the sunny locale, though this visit comes at the end of an especially exciting year since George and Amal got married in September. They were among your favorite newlyweds of the year, though Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's nuptials took home the first-place title.

George Clooney's Response to Sony Cyberattack

George Clooney is not happy about Hollywood's reaction to the Sony hack. The actor gave an impassioned interview with Deadline, sharing his feelings about the decision to cancel showings of The Interview and the backlash related to the Sony cyberattack:

"You have someone threaten to blow up buildings, and all of a sudden everybody has to bow down. Sony didn't pull the movie because they were scared; they pulled the movie because all the theaters said they were not going to run it. And they said they were not going to run it because they talked to their lawyers, and those lawyers said if somebody dies in one of these, then you're going to be responsible."

George's reaction comes after he circulated a petition asking studios to stand together in the wake of the attacks and was unable to recruit any top executives to sign. George stated that he feels the best solution is to stop sequestering the film:

"Do whatever you can to get this movie out. Not because everybody has to see the movie, but because I'm not going to be told we can't see the movie. That's the most important part. We cannot be told we can't see something by Kim Jong-un, of all f*cking people."

So what does this all mean for George and the rest of the film industry? George explained the consequences he fears:

"The truth of the matter is, of course you should be able to make any movie you want. And, you should take the ramifications for it. Meaning, people can boycott the movie and not go see your film. They can say they'll never see a Sony movie again. That's all fine. That's the risk you take for the decision you make. But to say we're going to make you pull it. We're going to censor you. That's a whole other game. That is playing in some serious waters, and it's a very dangerous pool."

George was himself a victim of the hack after an email exchange he had with Sony executive Amy Pascal was leaked online, showing him worrying over The Monuments Men's lukewarm reviews.

George Clooney Takes the Most Fascinating Person of the Year on a Date
George Clooney Takes the Most Fascinating Person of the Year on a Date

George Clooney stepped out with wife Amal Alamuddin in Studio City, CA, on Sunday night, just as the British lawyer was named Barbara Walters's most fascinating person of the year. While our readers are a little torn about if Amal is actually the most interesting person of 2014, it's hard to deny that she's captured the world's attention thanks to her relationship with George. However, this weekend wasn't all good news for the glamorous couple. On Sunday, George's personal emails with Sony executive Amy Pascal were leaked online through the massive Sony email hack, showing the actor getting worried about negative reviews of his latest directorial effort, The Monuments Men, which was released in February. When George started to realize that the film wasn't going to be a box office or critical smash, he wrote, "I adore you Amy. You are literally the only person running a studio that loves film. I fear I've let you all down. Not my intention. I apologize. I've just lost touch… Who knew? Sorry. I won't do it again."
