Disney Cruise Line Just Announced Some MAJOR News

I can personally attest to the fact that Disney Cruises are an actual dream. From the immaculate ship to the endless amount of things to do and see on board and off, a Disney cruise is truly the ultimate vacation. So the news that Disney Cruise Line is planning not one but two new cruise ships to add to the existing four is exciting to say the least.

Always one to top itself, Disney's announcement says that each new ship will be "approximately 135,000 gross tons — slightly larger than the newest Disney Cruise Line ships, the Disney Dream and the Disney Fantasy — and each is currently planned to include about 1,250 guest staterooms." In case you're not sure . . . that's BIG.

"We pride ourselves on the unforgettable vacation experiences we deliver to our guests each and every day, and the expansion of our Disney fleet will allow us to create even more magical memories for families at sea and in incredible cruise destinations around the world," said Robert A. Iger, chairman and chief executive officer of The Walt Disney Company.

So if you're a Disney Cruise fan who has at some point in time found themselves walking the decks of the ship and wondering if life could get any better . . . Disney is answering you with a resounding "yes." And if you're a first-timer, now's definitely the time to start planning your future cruise.

The schedule calls for the new ships to be completed in 2021 and 2023, so you have plenty of time to plan before setting sail.
