This Lyft Driver's New Book Is Sure to Make You Smile

If you're a city dweller, you probably take Ubers, SideCars, and Lyfts all the time as a means of quick and easy transportation. And here and there, you may strike up a meaningful conversation with your driver. A few months ago on a Sunday, I was paired with a driver who had so much golden insight on happiness, he might as well have been a modern-day Aristotle. I wish I had written down the things he said.

Lyft driver Zia Ahmed did the opposite. He had the passengers scribble down inspirational, unusual, campy, sentimental, and just downright hilarious messages in a notebook. He eventually collected all the passages and turned them into his book, Lyft Me Up San Francisco. We love the idea, and we love the accompanying quotes. Take a look at a few below. Warning: big smiles ahead.

Confucius Says . . .

"Confucius says, 'Man with itchy butt wakes up with stinky finger' (or pink eye)."
